HP system recovery gone wrong maybe?(HP 2000 notebook pc, running Windows 8.0)

So I was doing a system recovery on my computer and it was going fine, I followed the instructions exactly, until just now. It had this window up saying something like "installing software" after the pc restarted after the hp recovery manager had done its thing, and I was a little confused because it didn't say anything about this in the instructions, but I let it run and it eventually finished. Now though, my pcs stuck in like some sort of restarting loop. It boots up, but then immediately goes to a black screen with an error window that says "Windows could not compete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation."<br><br>No matter what I click here, it tries to restart the computer and this happens all over again. I tried turning it on and off again manually and hitting f11, but this only worked once, and didn't help, since I dont have any installation media; I was doing it all from the hard drive.<br><br>At this point I suspect I may have to GET some external media, because nothing I try is working. If that's the case, how expensive is stuff like that?
