I am working on my father's HP Pavillion G7-1070us laptop and I am having an issue with booting up after installing 8gb of RAM. I have upurchased 2 4gb sticks of DDR3 PC10600 un buffered, NON ECC RAM from Frys and every time I go to boot up the laptop it throws an error that Windows cannot load and offers to run the repair or start normally...no matter what you select, it goes back into the loop of prompting to repair or load...The BIOS recognizes all 8gb...have tried 2 different sets from different manufacturers (Patriot and Crucial). As soon as I pop the 2 2gb sticks back in it boots fine...I even tried to boot the the Windows 7 DVD to repair windows but it still gets back into the loop...I have tried both current BIOS and previous with no success....Please HELP :)
