I own a HP Pavilion DV4-1114nr, used almost 3.5yrs. i run a windows 7-64bit OS. Yesterday i downloaded the latest BIOS available from the HP website ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-84257-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=3818852&sw_lang= )
After installing the Bios update, my system automatically shut down, when i try to boot up, i got a blank screen.
I tried few steps
1) remove the battery, wait for 30mins, plug the power adapter without battery: Dint work
2) Remove the Battery & CMOS Battery, wait for 30mins, plug the CMOS battery back, plug the power adapter without battery: Dint work
Google too failed to answer, atleast it worked for some but not for me.
few were lucky to recover their notebook from above steps but not me.
Can any1 help here please?
Yet to try: download the old BIOS from the website, unzip, rename 30F7F55U.FD to 30F7.BIN, copy this file to thumb drive and boot without battery (plug in power), hold "Win+B" for few seconds! does this work? anybody tried with HP Pavilion DV4-1114nr model?
Thanks
