Got a HP Pavilion DV6 and it's not booting up. Just get the message "Press the ESC key for the startup menu" and then the screen goes black and laptop restarts. If i press ESC i can get into the BIOS etc. I've checked the boot sequence and Laptop HDD is set as the 2nd device in the boot-up sequence (CD drive is 1st - and i've checked to ensure that there's no CD in the drive). I've ran a few HDD and memory tests via the BIOS and all complete without any errors. Only thing that's come up as an issue is that it does not detect the battery and thats an issue i'm aware of so have the charger plugged in to overcome this until i get a new battery. Any ideas??
