Hi,<br><br>I'm in desperate need of help. I have a G72 HP laptop with Windows 7 and it's stuck on the load screen. A Battery Alert pops up when I first turn it on and it gives me the option to either load windows as normal or to run the repair. I've tried both, but neither has worked. When I try to load Windows normally, it's stuck on the Windows load screen and doesn't go any further than that. When I've done the repair option, it gets stuck on a blue screen with a distortedly larger-than-normal pointer on it that won't move.<br><br>I've pressed Esc while starting up and the Start Up menu comes up. So far, I've run the Battery Test, which it failed (also says it's not installed). I have also just run the Start-Up Test. It passed the Memory Test and the SMART check, but failed the Short DST (Hard Disk 1).<br><br>I have some of my files on the computer backed up, but not all of them, so I really do not want to wipe the hard drive or replace it.<br><br>I really just want my pictures and documents off of the computer. That's my main concern. Please help.<br><br>Thank you.
