Hi,
Product: HP G62 laptop (Product number: WZ685EA#B1R)
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
Issue: When i turn on pc, after approx 15minutes of working it goes to blue screen of death with "memory_management" error. After automatic restart, it works just fine for as long as i need. Next day it happens again, restarts and again - works perfectly.
Possible causes: it started happening after I got new DDR3 2x4Gb 16chips. At first when i tried to update my ram, it never worked since i found out that my laptop motherboard only supports 16 chips. Then it worked. However, this error start poping-out. Other than the BSOD, everything works just fine.
Extra: Memory_Management error gives an direction that ram is the actual cause, so i have run the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. The check completed successfully, which means there are no hardware problems or incompatibilities. I am guessing the problem is drivers (which i agree, that HP has completely forgot about g62, when windows 8 came out).
This issue is annoying as hell. I was considering posting this to windows support, however, I strongly believe that this is driver issues.
Thanks in advance. Let's see what can be done.
