my dv6 seems to have given up on me, after over a year of fans struggling to keep it cool even on elevated, ventilated surfaces at normal use ( web browsing, word.. that kind of thing ).
I turn it on and the lights come on, the fans come on, the screen stays black. LEDs by Caps lock and Num lock start blinking, but they don't stop, as suggested in the error codes page here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01443366&tmp_track_link=ot_recdoc/c01732674/en_us/c01443366/loc:3&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&man_lang=da&product=4041813#N321. They just keep blinking, seemingly forever. I stoipped counting after 10-15 blinks, as it seemed redundant - given that the above linked table only reaches 6 blinks.
Any ideas what this might be? I expect it melted through the cpu or the motherboard, but it's just a guess.
