To the Board of Management & all HP End-Users
I bought a brand new HP Pavilion g6-1352st Notebook PC from your dealer in Turkey. Just 2 months after purchase, some of the certain keys on the left side on the keyboard (the keys: !, é, q, a, z) astonishingly stopped functioning/typing and the cooling fan stopped running.
So, I made a good search through internet and realized that this problem is not a specific one only with my HP Laptop, but it is a general issue, which must be compensated by yourselves being the manufacturer by either supplying a free replacement of keyboard set or an update of the driver of the keyboard depending on the exact reason which is naturally known by yourselves.
However, I should add that, as you surely know, there are numerous HP Laptop users WHO are unreasonably suffer just because of this issue and cannot find any exact solution though they are desperately looking for the solution for months.
Then, I contacted with your Turkish technical service in Istanbul city and forwarded my Laptop for their assistance under the guarantee protection. Few days later, they sent me an astounding e-mail stating that they could replace the cooling fan under the guarantee protection but the problem of the keys is due to a possible spill of liquid over the keyboard and therefore it cannot be fixed through the guarantee and therefore I had to pay a certain amount which was around USD250, an amount which is just half of the brand new Laptop value.
Well, this is a practical lie and hype which certainly damage your fame… This is just a sneaky approach of them just to acquire extra money utilizing such inevitable cases and despairing HP users.
Because, their description is against the technical truth as ‘the Laptop Keyboard is produced in a way to be resistant to the liquid by having dome shaped preservative & protective dome silicones under each key on the keyboard.’ Besides, we all naturally and logically deduce the truth that only some keys, which are diagonally located in a straight sloping line, can never be individually effected by any case of possible liquid spill.
Eventually, I authorized them to fix the problem of the cooling fan only. So, they sent me an e-mail undertaking to authorize them to format the hard disk. I confirmed thinking/expecting them to format only partition ‘C’.
But, unfortunately, the nerve breaking truth was there in very front of me when I received my Loptop back after your Turkish Technical Service in Istanbul…. The fan was in function, but my partition ‘D’ in the hard disk, where my all personal folders & files were in, had been formatted, too. After their such unthoughtful action, they absolutely deserve a huge volume denigration with the heaviest disparaging & abusive words ever available in all world countries’ languages…. Because, they had to certainly have warned me out about their possible formatting all the partitions in the hard drive.
Well, Of course, I am not blaming only your Technical Service. But, certainly blame and accuse you who is the manufacturer of HP products. Because, primarily, it is obvious that you distribute defunct Laptops to the markets and therefore you subsequently cause your product user suffer unnecessarily. Secondarily, you absolutely know this nerve breaking issue, at least through the complaints by your end-users reaching to yourselves by e-mails, issue through. But, unfortunately, you have not paid a respected attention to produce a satisfactory certain & functional solution which will prevent your end-users having such an ongoing crazy issue.
I hope you will save some time to deliver a rooted solution to me and your other downtroddenend-buyers.
Anticipating your prompt attention and logical response, I remain.
C.Seref, from Turkey
