i got this system more than a month ago.HP Pavilion G7 2233cl . it came with windows 8 preinstalled. but during the initial set up i noticed the screen freezing and "blacking out" ever so often. i ddnt panic at first but when the set up was finished its frequency increased and began to get the message after saying "the AMD display driver has stopped responding and has recovered". so i tried downgrading to Win 7, that didnt work. i tried "the latest" display drivers from AMD and HP while on Win 7...didnt work .
i then tried to updrage straight to Win 8.1 and used the latest drivers from HP, same problem. then the latest AMD catalyst software claims to install all the latest drivers but i jus tried that and im still having the problem..
To be honest im completely frustrated because iv been trying for weeks and spending hours online and i cant use the pc for the only purpose i bought it. whatever help would be greatly appreciated.
PLEASE help me restore some sort of faith in HP and AMD products. thank you in advance.1
