I have an 8 month old HP Envy 15 Touchsmart laptop, product #C8P48AV. It has already had the system board & LCD display replaced just 3 months ago due to failed backlight. Today, it stopped booting up. On battery power, pressing the power button results in the following lights blinking in rapid succession at varying time intervals - it's as if there isn't sufficient power to start the system: Power LED (white); Wifi (orange); HDD indicator (white) for about a minute then the three lights remain solid, the fan is running, but no display on either the screen or an external monitor. I get the exact same result when plugged into A/C - WITH AND WITHOUT the battery inserted. I tried the hard reset of unplugging laptop, removing battery, waiting about 15 minutes, then pressing power button for about 15 seconds. I'm thinking the recently replaced system board may need replacing again. What say ye?
