HP 850 G1 Laptop Reboot on Return From Sleep using Specified Driver

My new 850 G1 laptop is so nice but so frustrating.  Came with Win 7 installed.  Tried to install Red Hat but Haswell U model processor not currently supported.  Installed Win 8 from HP Disk and immediatedly upgraded to 8.1.  Pulled Drivers from HP Support site.

Originally would see blue screen with frownie face due to VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR.  Upgraded to lastest video driver and problem got worse.  Reverted to the 10.18.10.3316 driver version data 10/1/2013 from support site.

No longer see the blue screen with fatal error message, but system reboots after sleep instead of awakening.  Takes about 2 mins.

Other threads indicate that driver version 10.18.10.3316 fixed their problem, but installing this version (twice just to be sure, second time after updating the BIOS) did not address reboot issue on my laptop.

Either a hardware issue or another driver is out of sync.  In researching the problem, I noticed I don't have the power management tab on my Keyboard or touchpad drivers to set the wake after sleep.  Aftermarket Logitech external mouse driver does, but still doesn't help.
