Does not turn on, no power going in.

Every Desktop, printer and laptop I have owned for the last 15 years has been an HP.  I stick with HP because of their superior products and great customer service. However, two weeks ago my computer started having a pop up box saying something along the lines that my graphics driver has unexpectedly stopped working, then 10-15 seconds later my computer would go to the Blue Screen.  I would turn it off, then back on and this would happen nonstop whenever I would be using a good bit of processing power (whether high volume downloads, streaming, videos etc.). Today I turn my lap top on, and while only composing an email it shuts off on me. I try to turn it back on and nothing happens. No lights blinking, no sounds, no humming, no nothing. Nothing at all. I took my battery out, unplugged it, plugged it in...did every possible combination of turning it on and battery in or out.  No luck. I call HP and speak to a support agent who proceeded to tell me that my extended warranty had expired 3 days ago and that there is nothing they can do to help me. Any advice or wisdom?

Now I'm stuck with a non working laptop and after all this am considering just buying a Dell or Acer.
