Hello There!
One of my friend just bought a HP Pavilion 15-e035tx Notebook PC with windows 8 preinstalled.
All seemed to be good except the fact she was struggling using such an "advanced" os and moreover the laptop didn't turned off!
I couldn't believe it so i decided to give it a look and see if i could have done something.
Installed windows 7, and the HP Support Assistant (which by the way, i found brilliant!) and get all the drivers easily.
The only flaw is still the issue concerning the shutdown: whenever i try to shut it down, the OS states is shutting down but then the laptop appears to go in an hybernate status, start button light on, no way to turn it on again except if i force shut down (pressing switch on button for more than 4 sec).
I've read here there's a BIOS update that fix a similar behaviour. I think this may also interest the model i'm working on (Bios revision Insyde F.21, 12/4/2013) but before i tinker with bios update would be nice to hear from someone more expert than me on the matter
Insights are welcome!
Cheers!
Alessio
