My laptop slowed down then the screen turned a little white, and I couldnt move the mouse so I turned off my laptop and when I turned it back on this black HP screen appeared saying "Preparing Automatic Repair" and it seems to be on a loop because no mater how much time I let pass it still says that.
I have tried a hard rest, also pressing f12, f8,f11, and f7. none of these options work.
Finally I pressed esc and then f11 for System Recovery but it didnt load all it said was "please wait" and it froze on that.
Next I pressed esc again and Ran diagnostics
All the test cleared except for
- hard drive short dst check failed
and the failure ID is ( 9C7QXR-6G673L-MFPX0K-60V003 )
My laptop model is
HP Pavilion g6-2225nr Notebook PC
And my warrnty has expired.
I dont currently have the Windows 8 installation disc, nor can I get it from another computer.
