HP Mini 110 freezes, black screen and fan full speed

Hey Guys,

I have an HP Mini 110 running Windows 7 Starter.

My problem is that it randomly freezes with a black screen and fan going full speed.

It does it really randomly, it can be 10 mins, or a few hours after turning the machine on. Although it does not seem to happen when running in Safe Mode. I have also tried running Ubuntu Desktop 13.10 and the same black screen happens.

I have tried to recover to factory defaults, but it freezes with black screen before I get the chance to start the process (it says Windows loading files then freezes).

I have also run all of the Diagnostic tests and everything comes back saying it's fine.

Any ideas?
