I have an HP dv7-3164cl entertainment notebook that has been having issues for several months with shutting down. It often won't, so I have to hold the power button down. Upon start up, I allow it to start in normal mode. This all worked until a couple of days ago, and now when I turn the computer on to start it up, I only get a blank screen. My lights light up (they don't flash) but my screen just stays black. I have tried a hard reboot....taking out the battery, holding the power button down 30 seconds, replacing battery. I have tried hitting the fn 5 button, the fn 8 button, esc. None of the above have worked. Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue? Thank you!!
