This problem seems to be very common with HP laptops. When I try to start-up the laptop it hangs-up with a black screen and blinks the LED lights by the CAPS lock and NUM lock. I think my laptop has bad CPU even I haven't managed to run the F2 diagnostics on startup.
If I cover laptop with blanket and let it be there about 20-30 minutes (after it is pretty warm) it will start normally to windows and somethimes it even boots normally couple of times. CAPS lock and NUM lock LED lights keeps blinking all the time about every third second. Does somebody know why it works like this and is the problem bad CPU?
