Hello. For the past few days my laptop, HP Pavillion G6 has been typing plus signs on its own. It does not do it all the time, as it is not doing it now while I am typing and then all of a sudden it will start and it won't stop. Sometimes I can get it to stop by pressing the backspace button, other times that doesn't help. I have also noticed the touch pad stops responding and freezes up so I have to shut the laptop, wait a few minutes and open it and hope it works. My laptop is not quite a month over being a year old, so the warranty expired 3-9-14. Huge bummer for me. I have tried running malwarebytes and another scan and have come up with nothing there. I don't believe the key is sticking because it doesn't feel stuck at all and you have to press shift to make the plus sign. I have also tried restarting it and have shut it off, taken the battery out and put back in. I have not spilled anything on it or dropped it. I tried spraying air in it. I am not sure if this is related but I noticed today that when I click on the HP Support Assistant in the bottom bar it opens and then when I click on Contact Technical Support I get a message that HP Support has stopped working and it closes the program. I unstalled and reinstalled that and still get the same message. My laptop is Windows 8. Any help would be very much appreciated as I am lost as to what to try next.
