I'm not computer savvy, but will make this as detailed as I can. I have a HP Pavilion dv 7-2185 dx Entertainment Notebook PC with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. I was online about a week ago, the computer screen went black and then a blue screen came on for only a quick second, long enough for me to read 'Windows Detected an Error and is Shutting Down', I didn't have a chance to read anything else. The computer shut down. I tried to re-boot it and now nothing will happen. I even took the battery out for a couple mins. but still nothing. I do get a screen with 2 options, one says to "Start Windows Manually (recommended)" and "Start Windows Normally", neither option had any effect. I started the computer up again and pressed the esc button for the "Start Up Menu". I ran through all of the tests,
"Memory Test" - Passed
"Hard Disk SMART" - Passed
"Hard Disk Quick Test" - Passed
"Hard Disk Long Test" - Failed__"Hard Disk 1 Full"
I ran these tests 5 times with the same result. If I press the F11 key, the error log shows the same error number for each time, which is 305. I really hate to get another computer as this one has been problem free since day one. I do know I have alot of songs and have downloaded alot of movies so I hope the only problem with it is the Disk is full. And if it is, how do I get it to boot so I can delete some stuff off of it. Thank you very much for taking the time to look at this problem I'm having. Good day.
