- Product Name: Hp Mini 110-4100 in system info in bios, hp 110-4250nr in printed label
- A short description of the problem: won't boot into Windows 7
- Product Name and Operating System
- Win 7 Starter 32-bit
- Description of the problem including:
- Error messages, if any - No error message, spent long time wasted to run all built-in diagnosis without any error(s).
- System won't boot into windows 7 in safe or normal mode. Screen shows no MS or win7 graphic logo except a rectagle on top of MS copyright icon after drivers loaded.
- Try everything, reset bios, memory chip and plugged in with another drive. All yield same result.
- pulled the drive and put into another mfgr's pc(a Fujitsu T4215), boot up with no problem.
- Determined the system board or video ckt is fefective.
- plugged in an external crt and Caps Lock led flashes 5 times with 1 sec. apart and 2 seconds division continuously.
- My final conclusion: System board/video ckt is defective.
- Hp support woudn't talk except demanding $59 for out of warranty support for a software fix. This case is more likely a hardware failure and US$59.00 and time will be wasted if you do try to fix it as the tech support in Offshore country demanded payment upfront.
