My pavilion dv4 1225dx randomly stopped booting, showed a blank screen and the caps and scroll lights were blinking every few seconds. From what I've read, this is sadly a common major issue. I tried a hard reset, taking out and in the battery, the RTC battery, trying different combinations of the two memory modules and taking out WLAN module to see if the computer would boot without it. Nothing has worked.
I understand that my computer is done at this point but I need to get the files off of it. Can I use a USB adaptor cable to transfer the files from my hard drive? If so, how?
