Multiple restarts to boot

My HP Pavilion g4-1015dx Notebook requires multiple (30 to 50) hard restarts before going into boot sequence.

The fan starts, the caps lock and WLAN LED's light, but I must repeatedly power down and repower before the boot sequence will start.

Also, I am constantly having to wait for cache memory when browsing.

The laptop has never been dropped or jarred and no hardware or memory changes or upgrades have been made. The case has never been opened.

All drivers and the BIOS are current.

I've run every possible HP and Windows diagnostic test and no problems show up.

Any non-destructive suggestions before I pay HP for technical assistance?
