Notebook HP - 15-ay010nl - i5 - amd radeon HARD DISK VERY NOISY AND ABNORMAL BATTERY FAST DISCHARGE

Product Name: HP - 15ay010nl - i5- amd radeon

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased HP 15-ay010nl from italian franchise store "EURONICS".

Immediately upon starting bootup, I heard the hard-drive making noises like it was constantly reading/writing. Also abnormal "click" hear from the hard-disk side.

I called "EURONICS" the seller and they said that this sound normally and they can exchange the computer.

Is it maybe a bad batch of harddrives in these new computers?

Please HP Support can you help me to solve my problem?

Hi all,

The long and short of this is that the hd appears to have a partition issue

The original issue started when I upgraded to windows 10 from win 8.1

Every now and then the system would show a security file error which would clear itself after a while

I am now sitting with a hd error GLQ6KR-7PV89P-XD7WLJ- 60S103 and the laptop will not boot the old win 8.1

Questions

1) can this be fixed ie the had repartitioned / formatted

2) do I need a new HD

I am helping a friend with her notebook which started acting up. It is a Pavilion Touchscreen 15-b150 - running windows 8. As a was updating the firmware drivers through HP Support, the computer shut down and now won't boot up again. I looked at the videos for checking connections inside, but most of them seemed to have a panel I don't have. I tried the hard reset. that didnt help. any suggestions?

The system asked for auto disk check and after that it is getting stuck in the initial stage where it shows the windows LOGO and goes into loading sign mode for infinite time. please suggest what can be done to get my laptop live again if possible please rply on abhishekkansal3@gmail.com

I am working on a HP Pavilion g6-1b59wm and for the life of me I cant figure it out. I cant remember the original error code but it was not detecting the hard drive, all test I tried to run it kept saying there was no hard drive, so I bought a new drive and replaced the hard drive with a new 1, but still getting a 301 error at boot up, so I grabbed a SSD off the shelf and was able to detect the drive so I started installing all vital softwares, got windows installed and installed all drivers and it ran great for awhile and then I got a blue screen and I started to get the 301 error again, So I am wandering if its the main board or these computers use a hard drive adapter that hooks to the motherboard could it be that? Any insite would be greatly appreciated.

LAPTOP WAS UPDATED 5 /16 TO WINDOWS 10 ONLY HAD SMALL ISSUES LIKE NO SOUND MISSIND DLLS ON UPDATES WHICH I SEARCHED AND RESOLVED. but last night i went to listen to music anbd pavalion dv 7 would not power up np picture no sound no start up. i removed battery.. pressed start button 15 sec put battery in made sure any peripheral devices unplugged. pressed power on and escape still only powers on not up./

nor a computer savvy person . mostly use it for pictures ans spotify blues jazz in my personal speak easy hdmi to a 70 in screen and bose. cant drink my whiskey and smoke my pipes with out the blues help

I've had my HP Chromebook since December 2014 and never had any issues with it. I love using it!

Two days ago I switched the Chromebook off when it had about 8% battery left knowing I'd need to charge it when I next used it, however, it now won't start up at all and there is no charge coming from the AC adapter either. I have noticed that the Chromebook seems to be losing charge even when switched off recently as sometimes I've pout it away with 20% charge left and yet it's still been completely dead when I've next tried to use it; it never did that before.

Anyway, my Chromebook is now useless to me and the HP website suggests it came out f warrenty 11mths after I purchased it in Novemver 2015. What can be done? It seems ludicrous that the damned thing hasn't lasted me 2 years yet.

Please help... Anyone?

I disassembled my hp pavillion dv6 notebook in order to clean it, and then assembled it back. I was very careful. After I am done, when clicking the power button to turn it on, lights keep on blinking once every 4 seconds. Note that the laptop is not starting so I cannot access the bios, even the fan is blinking, it starts and then immediatly stops every 4 seconds, lights that are blinking are for dvd, power button, screen logo, and the 3 power lights on the left edge. Note that the caps lock and num lock lights are not blinking, they are off.

I Tried the hard reset method with no success. Can someone help me please to locate the issue and resolve it.

In spring 2016 I changed from Windows 7 professional to Windows 10 on the HP 45420s Probook. The system was running well.

After the recent major update on W10 booting time is excessive, i.e. in the order of 10 minutes. The OS seems to start correctly until the logon screen should appear. It then takes more than 10 minutes to continue and finally present the desktop.

The device drivers seem to be up to date. A clean boot, which I already performed, did not solve the problem.

How can I correct the situation? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have an older Pavilion dv7. Installed new hard drive, new battery, new Windows 10. If the computer is left turned-off for any long period of time (say 30 minutes to hours) it will not start up for a long time. When it finally starts up everything, computer, cpu, memory, hard drive, internet, etc. ALL work perfectly. Can't find a reason why it takes so long to start up. If I power down and then re-start in a few minutes, the OS comes up fairly quickly but not if I wait for a much longer period.

I had cleand the fan and change ther heat sink paste with the new paste , but no suscses to start up the laptop .

any Idea to reset the thermal counter ? or any seolution .

One day I was playing team fortress 2 trading items and making friends when my computer had a nasty crash. I had to hold down the power button to force off my pc. But it wouldn't turn on. I noticed it was showing similar activity to my old Toshiba laptop when it over heated. I would press the power button the fan would turn on the keyboard light would turn on, the screen wouldn't, but then all of them would shut down and the subwoofer on the bottom of my machine would kick. Being that I thought th machine was over heating I stopped trying and let it chill for an hour. An hour later I tried turning on and... well what do you know it worked! But that's not all the next night after school I pressed the power button turn on my machine and well the machine did its name crash before startup. If anyone can help with this please. And have tried the hard reset things I can use them.
