Cursor Freezes
I have a pavillion g6 and the cursor keeps freezing. I have to hit power button to regain cursor. How can I fix?

hp notebook dead, power supply good
I have a hp 15-010?? notebook, that will not turn on. I have 19.5 v to the mother board. Did hard reset -- no help!!1. The weird part is, one time I plugin pwr. , the fan runs but no pwr light and no display, next time I plug in , the fan runs but nothing else, the next time the charge light is on but nothing else.

Administrator password blue screen
When I try to boot up my netbook it takes me to a black screen with a blue box saying "Enter Adminitrator Password or Power On Password". After entering an incorrect password 3 times it says "System Disabled" and displays the number "66909592"

I tried several passwords that were used on HP forum.

840 G1 boots on docking station, but fails when undocked
I have a number of 840 G1 series laptops that have all been running for about a year off the exact same win image. They are generaly run off the docing station with multiple monitors, but frequently make it out of the office.
One unit has begun to demonstrate a strange behavior when NOT docked. It was gettig stuck half way through boot and began to eminate a tone of fixed pitch (stuck in the middle of a note from the opening audio file I think).
BIOS 1.20
The unit boots fine on or off power, undocked to safe mode.
The unit fails to boot on or off power, undocked to regular mode. The unit gets stuck on the spalsh screen.
In a dock with power, with or with out a monitor attached, the unit boots normaly.
If booted and loged in on the dock I can undock the machine and it runs fine until reboot.

Stuck may be a misnomer. When stuck, if I type the password I see no characthers. If I then lock the unit into the docking station, the typed characters imediatly appear as stars and I can properly login.
Wanting to reimage the computer anyhow I applied the default win image and on the computer's first boot it went to about 56% where the cylon beam stopped strobbing right after a screen flicker. I placed the PC into the dock, and the boot continued at 78% or so.
I am of the opion that the PC is still actually running, however there is no NEW information being sent to the screen when undocked.
I expect that there is some failed hardware, possibly graphics, but unclear how the subsystems interact specificaly with the docking station.

Black screen and update Win 10 six month ago
Hello,
I have notebook HP 650. Six months ago I performed an update on Windows 10 and now I have a problem.
If I turn on the laptop, I got a black screen.
Only flashing keys - power-on/off and caps-lock. Caps-lock flashing 2x.
I know that the problem will probably with system BIOS?
But the notebook does not respond to anything. Keys Esc, F1, F2, F8, F10, F11 or win+B.
I also tried to connect an external monitor - nothink.

But the problem is that my second notebook is Asus, and there can not create installation on USB for HP notebook.
You can store somewhere BIOS update so I can download to USB?
I don´t know whether works "HP tools", because installing windows 10 everything was deleted. I performed a clean install.

hp 250 crashing
Hi Guys i purchased a new Hp 250 late last year. The laptop has had problems ever since new. I have had it back to our local computer shop the first time when it was only 1 month old. It just keeps crashing for no aparent reason. Our local computershop has had it in their possesion now for at least 9 weeks. I purchased this for work but it has cost me so much time and money. I have a case number and finally Hp are going to replace the mother board. I have told our computer shop that i do not want a computer back that will have no warranty left and new componebts that may fail . For this reason and with the resomendation of consumer affairs i am demanding a full refund on this lemon machine. I have tried to get through to costomer support only to be put on hold for 45mins.
Can some one please help me in resolving this problem.

HP Pavillion x360 won't turn on
This HP X360 won't turn on past the spinning cursor immediately after it's turned on. It's been rotating like this for a whole day till the battery ran out. 
It's fully charged and all programs are up-to-date and has a Kapersky antivirus.

windows will not boot up/black screen/f10 computer setup is accessible but all settings tampered wit
my computer was functioning like ususal until last week when i noticed it was updating various items and warned not to turn off the computer until the updates were complete. i think it is likely the computer was not left alone to perform the updates. my son was trying to use the computer that day and may have interfered with this process.
The next interference with the computer functioning normally is due to me trying to correct the issue that has been going on for the past week . when attempting to use the computer i was met with a black screen with f10 rom setup and boot setup f12 (i think) i have tried to look in the setup menu for help and ended up pushing buttons i should not have pushed and as a result of my ignorant desperate search for a way to get windows to open i have managed to mess things up worse than ever i'm afraid. i tried to follow the tips provided in the support pages to no avail, i opened the computer checked the memory module seating, i pressed windows logo button and b then power only to havr the screen go solid black and caps&num lock lights to come on and blink non stop and power button will not turn computer off. I am at my wits end! i don't know what to do! adding to the problems here is that i have no discs of any kind for this computer as I bought it on ebay and it came with no discs at all it was ready to go on arrival, and updated to windows 10.it is possible to go into the blue computer setup pages after power on. if not there then its black screen. any help is appreciated, thank you so much.

Laptop doesn't boot up even with hard reset
Yesterday my laptop suddenly stopped responding.
I followed the tutorial and removed the battery and tried booting up the laptop using the charger. It doesn't work. I can see the charger port going from white to orange and then blank in quick succession.
Then I tried keeping the battery and the charger plugged in for a long time without turning on the laptop. The charger remains orange for more than an hour before turning white.
I tried running the laptop after couple of hours and it boots up fine. But on the other hand, charger starts to act up again cycling through nothing, orange and white. So when the battery charge falls below 15%, it goes through low battery and then showing a bit of charge then again warning.

Notebook Will Not Start
I have an Envy x360. It worked one day and the next day it will not turn on. I have tried doing the reset and it does not work. The light where the power cord is plugged in is on. The power light will come on sometimes when I press it. Sometimes the caps lock will blink one time and other times it does not blink. Sometimes I can hear a click inside when I press the power button. I think I am out of the warranty coverage. It has an enclosed battery but since I am not covered by warranty would it help to try something with it? I need to get it working so I can recover pictures and also to finish my portfolio for my masters degree. Thanks.

System hardware malfunction preventing boot. Which hardware is dead?
Got an HP Envy 17 3200 CTO loaded at the time. Quad core, Radeon HD 7850M, etc.
Well the other day the thing blue screened but froze during that process and the graphics glitches during that screen. Corruption and blocks appeared and disappeared. I was forced to shut it down during the blue screen as something big wasn't working during the crash dump process, it stood at 0%.
Upon restart the unit screen doesn't turn on and no noises are made like beeps indicating an issue. The Bluray makes its usual prep sounds it does at every start up. It sits with a blank screen that doesn't even appear to be powered on. The only other indicator is the caps lock key flashes a few times and goes off, then flashes a few times and goes off, repeating this sitting there..
What part likely died on this sucker? CPU? Dram? Motherboard? Graphics card? How can I trouble shoot it if it doesn't power on ..
While it sits there various LEDs on the keyboard are on as said .. Caps lock flashing.
Power LED on. I think the wireless LED is on too.. TheHP envy light on the hood is also on..
Coming here for tips because I do self repair. No warranty. I will purchase the required part and self install like I always do for my laptops.
