I bought my HP laptop in 2/2015 and everything was great until recently. Out of nowhere, it decided to stop trying to boot. The power light comes on and the CAPS lock button lights up. The fan runs but other than that---nothing. I tried the reset procedure several times and nothing changed.

I boot up to see the Bios Password screen.
The system sounds continuous short beeps.

Notebook was purchased in February 2016 via QVC channel on cable. (Home Shopping Channel) in US.
A few days ago, the notebook failed to power up. Not a Windows problem. It does not get that far.
It would appear this is failing the "power on" test, as there is a series of 3 long beeps, but there is never any video displayed of any kind. Obviously using the HP Support Assistant is not a viable option.
Can you advise where to connect with HP Support or how to address this issue since the notebook is only a few months old???

Hi, I attempted to flash a bios update to the laptop from version F.0D to version F.1A A
I downloaded the file from the product page here using the Product Number;

After flashing the new BIOS, the system boots with the following message;
"Product Information not valid
System Board (00A) - Product Name

When I press ENTER to continue the system boots fine. How do I remove the error from displaying?

Laptop hinges loosening while lifting the lid up
Hi,
I very recently have discovered that the hinges through which my laptop is connected have started to loose up, I remember once to have tugged on my laptop screen. At that time I hadn't really noticed any problems, but from the past couple of days, I have noticed that when ever I lift the lid up the hinges creak, and also I found that this has started effecting the vents of the fan as their is a gap when the lid of the laptop is up. Can some one help me with this! or is it better to take it to an authorised dealer. If possible can someone help me find one in London.

There is a orange light on my hp touchpad, still the mouse is working fine.
The orange light on the touchpad has appeared, still the mouse is working fine. Though technically the mouse stops working when there is a light on the touchpad. May I know the reason of this reverse behaviour, and also a solution.

Orange HDD Light Permanently on when laptop is powered
Hi, I have a Pavilion DV6 and not to long ago, i put it to sleep to do some other stuff. When i did, I noticed the "HDD" light was orange.(see attached image) I've noticed this before but it only blinked. It was never permanently on. I then came back and shut down the laptop. The light was off. As I started back the laptop, the light came on and was permanently on during useage. I then slept the laptop and left it for an hour or so and came back. The light was still on. This happened when the laptop was both plugged in and unplugged from a power supply. All other lights (mousepad, wifi, mute, charging, powerbutton) work fine.
Has anyone experienced this problem/ have a solution?
