I ran as administrator in command prompt sfc /scannow and it did not find any integrity problems
The HP support assistant has been used daily and all the drivers and windows updates are up to date
I used windows defender and there is no infection
Also I checked with malwarebytes and there is no infection
What is corrupted and how does it get fixed?
What else is being reported in the event viewer that needs fixing?
I downloaded two software: whocrashed and bluescreen view.
These are the results for each:
Whocrashed
Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump
Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.
On Fri 1/31/2014 4:02:45 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\013014-13228-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75BC0)
Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFFA80181F1A10, 0xFFFFF80000B9C3D8, 0xFFFFFA802894AB00)
Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

What happened to produce the crash?
How does the HP Client Security get fixed to function properly?
What troubleshooting steps are needed now?
How do I prevent or at least reduce the likelihood of this happening again?
thx in advance
