I only have my laptop for 1 year and 9 months. Recently, I noticed it charges up until 81%, then it says it's plugged in and not charging. It goes on charging more or less, but always with these pauses, which have become more frequent and not just at 81% like in the beginning. For example, right now it got up to 65%, stopped, charged 1 more, then again it stopped, and on and on it goes, it doesn't really have a definitive number anymore and the pauses can be for as little as 1% like I described or for more.

What could it possibly be and what should I do? :(

I had been hacked and was trying to remove hidden drive volumes. I deleted volume 8 of 8 which was hidden and now when power on I receive error 3f0 no boot. Can I restore back to factory settings and restore windows?

Hello.

My hard drive failed and I installed a WD Blue SSD. The problem I am having is when I start the machine and press F10 I get the following on the bottom left corner of the screen: F10...BIOS Setup Options. How do I proceed past this point to get into the BIOS settings so I can complete the install?

When I press f10 I got a msg enter BIOS admin password .
It is old laptop from my cousin .he install windows 10 .due this it not running properly .he forget the password too.
Now I have to format the laptop nad want to install windows 7.
Please help

Basically what happens is, when I try to boot the screen remains black(no signal), fans spin normally, and caps lock endlessly blinks, which according to this https://imgur.com/a/58cgM24 means there's insufficient power which I don't think is actually the issue(I've had the same charger for the past 5+ years with no problems, it also runs with no battery on ac power just fine).

 

So my only option is to power on and off a random amount of times until it actually boots to windows. It can take 10-20 tries or hundreds of times. I've noticed it seems to have a better chance of booting if the laptop is warm, so I've been placing it on a heating blanket whenever this issue occurs. I also get the BSOD error 0xc0000001 sometimes during boot. I originally thought this would be a graphics card problem.

 

Eventually it boots to windows and everything works fine for like a week(I keep the laptop on 24/7 so I don't have to deal with the boot issue constantly) until eventually the screen will randomly go black again and I'm back to square one.

 

any help/suggestions appreciated.

I'm trying to do a clean install from a USB drive of Windows 10 Pro. I can't get past the BIOS password.

 

Bought the computer refurbished from an ebay seller. They do not know what the bios password is.

 

Please redirect this question if there is a better forum for this question.

Can you support me? I forgot my bios password, I have a HP 14-AN022LA, after entering 3 times wrong password, appears the message  "System Disabled i 64905404".

Does anyone know what this small square box is at the bottom of the boot up screen. I don't think it was on there at first. Unless it's supposed to be there, I'd like to get it off. Does anyone know how?

I have an old HP 8510p. It's before the USB flash drive boot era. Is it possible to make it work from usb?

I've just upgraded some parts of it and wanted to go Windows 10, but I don't have an install CD. 

I've updated to the latest F.20 bios, but I can only see USB Hard disk and USB SuperDisk boot otions, but none of those works. : (

 

Any idea?

The screen got cracked on my Envy 360 15-u the other day. The LCD was working fine, all you could see was cracked glass above the perfect lcd. I don't even know if it is related at all, but before I got a chance to fix the screen, my laptop now won't even boot. I get the orange light by the power cord port and the completely black screen. I've tried the hard reset and updating bios from flash drive. Nothing. HP website tells me to run a diagnostic on the hardware. Ok, how do I do that if I can't get passed the blank screen? I am not sure what to do from here. Please help!

I need to enter into my CMOS as i'm about to upgrade the HDD with SSD and also flash/upgrade the CMOS as i'm upgrading to Windows 10.

 

But i cant recall putting in a password, and it keeps asking for one.

 

How do i reset this? 

 

I still have my receipt from an authorized HP reseller, would it be possible to get the support/instruction online?

as the authorized service center near me advises that they need to send the laptop to HP to be able to reset/erase the CMOS Password.

I can not resolve the bios problem because my system disabled code is i 51173383. After going through Bios code.net where it requires 16 characters for password but the generated code has 18 characters.

I also tried pressing explorer key+ B+power and the Bios initializes but still Enter Administrator Password or Power on Password appears. The whole was done using external power having the CMOS battery removed. Can anyone help ?

Hey guys,

 

I bought a HP laptop a couple of months ago and sent it back to HP via the damages department in store because the keyboard was damaged.

 

I had performed the master reset when I'd sent it off, restoring factory settings etc. When I try to turn it on now that I've got it back, I get a "Your account has been disabled. Please see your system administrator." message on the screen and can't log in or go past that point.

 

I've never connected the computer to a college/work network - how do I sort this issue?

When I close the lid or when it goes into sleep mode, the computer turns off but in order to turn it back on I have to hold the power button for several seconds. Help!
